Joe Tomecek

In January 2010, Joe Tomecek joined the 2nd City Chorus, Rockford Metro Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society, as its new Musical Director. Joe becomes the chapter’s fifth musical director in what has been a core of talented directors who have blessed 2nd City Chorus since its inception in the fall of 1996.  Joe has been an assistant director with The West Towns Chorus (Lombard, IL) for over a decade and he remains with West Towns as a singer, baritone section leader, assistant director, and chorus performance coach.  As the baritone in the quartet Scrambled Craigs, he happily takes the blame for arranging some of their quirky songs.  When not performing or rehearsing, Joe can be found competing in disc golf tournaments throughout the Midwest.
