tsunami Quartet, pronounced \su nah mee\, the Illinois District’s 2006 Silver Medalist Quartet, is once again back together after a year-long break that began when baritone Rick Schultz moved to Connecticut. Now that Rick and his family have moved back to Rockford, tsunami can ‘get back at it’. From their very first contest, tsunami has never finished out of the Illinois District Top Five, and in 2006 narrowly missed the state’s top honor by a mere half a percentage point. With a varied repertoire that includes great contestable barbershop to Sinatra, tsunami is notably the most accomplished and exciting quartet to come from the Rockford area in many years. Members: Doug Phillips, Chris Weber, Rick Schultz, and Greg Martin, bring over 100 years of barbershopping experience to the stage. You won’t want to miss tsunami.
